Meteors this weekend
Hey, Lyrid meteor shower's this weekend. I probably won't watch them since it's hard to get up predawn and it's harder to find a dark place to watch from around here. Just that you might want to know.

"Most years in April there are no more than 5 to 20 meteors per hour during the shower's peak."

I know of a rather dark place nearby! Though er, I don't know if it's dark enough. But it's a massive hill of darky darkness, me and a friend crossed it once and thought we were going to fall into an abyss.

We didn't. But it was dark.

Actually, I realized that I will be going home to Crozet Sunday night because I have a doctor's appointment Monday morning, so I might give it a try then. Where is this dark place you speak of?

It's not far away from where I live, there's a big hill. I don't know if it'll be good enough because the campus lights will still be surrounding, but the area itself is really dark. I suppose I can go there tonight and see if it's any good for stargazing?

No, you don't need to. I'll just hang out in backyard at home, if I have time.
