The college seems real enough until I leave and then I realize: I've been living in a world without dandelions.

Myopia may make the world a little bit more magical. I can't distinguish flower petals and butterflies.

And, man, am I a sucker for Shiney. The art store was having a sale, and here's a list of everything I bought that I hadn't come for: silver oil pastel, pearl oil pastel, copper and gold metallic paint, brass metallic finish, and nine sheets of shiney "scrapbook" paper (7 of which are variations on gold).
